Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Securing love and affection is a great way to rise above past trauma. A resilient nature will clear the path and opportunities fall into place. Tiny Tim chooses to be a survivor and not a victim to the hand dealt to him. We are dedicated to putting Tiny Tim on a pedestal of endless love and affection. Found has a stray under horrible conditions and even poorer health conditions, Tiny Tim rebounded. He greets the world with kindness, trust and love. His past did not break his spirit and now it is full steam ahead to finding a forever home. Tiny Tim is a young boy at around two years of age and is a mixed breed. He has the biggest heart imaginable to share with everyone. He is medium sized at around 40 pounds which makes him a great size to share the sofa or bed with him. Share warm moments snuggled up and binge watching your favorite show, Love is in the cards for Tiny Tim and with receiving comes giving and that is what he is all about. If you ask his friends, they will say the same. Acquaintances are fine for some but for Tiny Tim crossing over into the friend zone is always preferred. He adores other dogs, children and adults. He has not met a cat since coming into rescue, so the friendship status is unknown at this time. He has a calm, friendly personality that makes him easy to love, and he bonds quickly with the people around him. He is the type of dog that simply wants to be included, whether that is relaxing at home, tagging along on errands, or cuddling on the couch after a long day. Lots of work is going into learning his leash training skills and he has already mastered his house training and crate training. The added bonus is that he makes a great travel companion for short trips or long errand runs so he can take his skills on the run. It is important to remember that although he is housetrained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Get ready for Tiny Tim to draw in a crowd with his good looks and even better personality. There may be a bit of fanfare in his future because he was recently filmed for a Tractor Supply advertisement. Get ready to have the ideal canine companion with love to spare. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Tiny Tim is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
