Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hey everyone meet Anne! This 3 year old, 20lb mix breed is pure joy with a side of the zoomies. Anne's the sweetest girl who lives for her daily walks, playing fetch with her favorite sticks, and tearing around the yard with her dog friends. She's super energetic and dose best with a family that can keep up with her------she gets the zoomies multiple times a day and it's hilarious to watch. Once she's burned off all that engery,, she turns into the ultimate couch potato, curling up for cuddles and giving the best kisses. She's a total velcro dog who just wants to be part of whatever your're doing. Anne's already housed-trained, walks beautifully on leash, knows her basic commands, and is great with kids and other dogs------both big and small. She was tested with cats and showed zero intrest, so she could potentially do well in a home with them too. She crates well during the day, but prefers to sleep near her people at night. Anne is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on flea, tick and heartworm mediciation. If you've got the time, love and engery for this sweet girl, Anne is ready to join your family on or after June 28th throught Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL#16182

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
