Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). âHi, I'm Dallas, a sweet, lovable boy looking for my forever home! I'm fully potty trained and well behaved, making me an easy companion to have around. I have a gentle personality and my favorite thing in the world is being close to the people I love. Whether I'm cuddling on the couch, laying next to my foster, or relaxing with my foster dog siblings, I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by my family. I'm dog-friendly and even get along well with cats, so I could be a wonderful addition to a home with other pets. I have a calm, affectionate nature and love soaking up attention, snuggles, and companionship. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily curl up beside you and fill your home with love, I just might be the perfect match. I can't wait to find a family to call my own!â

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
