Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Hi Antoni here. I'm looking for my forever family. I would like someone who is patient, kind and most importantly who loves to snuggle. I've been in my foster home for a few days now and my favorite thing to do is to explore the backyard on a leash, watch TV with my foster mom and foster brother. I don't interact much with the other dogs in the house. My energy is much lower than that of a border collie. I'm approximately five years old. A terrier mix or so the shelter claimed. I'm a definite Lowrider and appeared to be a part dachshund. My current weight is 22 pounds I am a sweet, gentle soul who would love to spend the rest of my life as your companion. As you can see from my pictures, I'm a very handsome gentleman and would look good walking with anybody anywhere. My energy level is between a 4 1/2 and a 5 which translates into couch potato. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
