Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi there! I’m Miss Coco , a 9-week-old Shepherd mix with the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. I’ll grow to be around 60 lbs, and I currently live with a 3-year-old and a 17-year-old, as well as other dogs and cats. I love to snuggle up for naps and shower my people with puppy kisses—but don’t let my innocent face fool you, I’ve got a playful, sassy side too! Whether I’m zooming around the yard, wrestling with my toys, or trying to convince everyone that I definitely need one more treat, I keep life entertaining. I’m curious, smart, and always ready for my next adventure. Like any puppy, I’m learning all the important things—potty training, good manners, and how to be the very best companion. I’ll need a family that’s patient, committed, and excited to help me grow into an amazing dog. If you’re looking for a best friend who can make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and then curl up in your lap at the end of the day, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Apply to adopt me here: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
