Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi there! I’m Miss Trix , a 9-week-old Shepherd mix with just the right blend of sweet and spicy! I’m expected to grow into a medium-to-large girl, around 55 pounds when I’m all grown up. Right now, I live with other dogs, cats, and kids, so I’m getting lots of experience being part of a busy family. I love to play, explore, and then curl up for a well-earned nap. I’m curious about everything and always ready for my next adventure, but I also have a soft, cuddly side that loves affection. Like any puppy my age, I’m still learning all the important puppy things, and I’ll need a family that’s patient and excited to help me grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. I promise to repay you with lots of love, laughs, and happy tail wags. If you’re looking for a fun, loving best friend with a little bit of sass and a whole lot of heart, I just might be your girl. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Ready to make me part of your family? Apply to adopt me here: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
