Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Kaylie is a 3 year old 73 lb spayed female German Shepherd mix! She came from a Texas rescue shelter with her 4 puppies! She was found as stray in Texas and had her puppies in the shelter in December and spayed after she was done nursing her pups! She is fully vaccinated and microchipped! She hasn't been cat tested yet, but will do that soon! She was not mean with any dogs in Texas, but once she was in a home in Pa she became protective of adopter and her kid with other male dogs in there home! So she was returned to our Rescue ! She is being currently treated here for heartworm that she had in Texas and she will be cured from the treatment we are providing! She has no symptoms! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Kaylie please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Overview:
The German Shepherd Dog, a truly iconic breed, originated in Germany in the late 19th century, primarily for herding sheep. They are easily recognizable by their athletic, medium-to-large build, typically weighing between 50-90 pounds, with a distinct double coat that can be black and tan, sable, or solid black. Known for their intelligence and loyalty, German Shepherds possess a remarkably trainable and courageous temperament, making them exceptional working dogs in fields like police and service work. While generally good with families when properly socialized, their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation make them unsuitable for apartment living without significant daily exercise. Prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as degenerative myelopathy, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
