Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. *DEAF DOG* Meet Muppet! This silly puppy is part mop, part cloud and 100% incredible. Muppet is deaf, but he has an eager mind and is a quick study. He has been doing great with learning the basics so far, and will need adopters dedicated to continuing his hand signal training. Muppet has three big passions in life: chasing toys, dragging stray laundry around and piling it up under his chair lair, and being as close to his people as possible. He has all the makings to become a fiercely loyal shadow once he's grown, especially since he will rely on you to be his ears. Muppet is great with kids, dogs and cats. He just needs to land in the perfect furever laundry basket! He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Muppet is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT MUPPET!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
