She is leash trained, rides well in the car, and has a playful side that comes out when she's spending time with those she trusts. Nala is obedient, eager to please, and naturally protective of her home, while also being gentle and loving with both adults and children. Because she has a very strong prey drive, she needs a home without cats or other small animals, and she is not a good match for homes with small dogs. She can be cautious and reactive when meeting unfamiliar dogs, but with slow, controlled introductions and experienced handling, she has successfully learned to coexist with some dogs her size or larger.
