Dog Breed: Chihuahua. Little P is a one-year-old Chihuahua with the sweetest little face and a gentle soul. While she may be shy at first and isn't fond of meeting new people, once you've earned her trust, you'll discover a loyal companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. Little P is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace. Because of her timid nature, she would do best in an adult-only home without children. She's crate trained, does a wonderful job letting you know when she needs to go outside for potty breaks, and thrives with a calm, predictable routine. This precious little girl may not be the life of the party, but for the person willing to give her the time and kindness she deserves, Little P will be an incredibly rewarding friend. If you believe that love is built through patience and trust, Little P is ready to find the forever home where she can truly blossom. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
