Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi there! I’m Heidi, a pint-sized Terrier mix with a big heart and a very cool black eye patch! I weigh a perfect 10 pounds, making me the ultimate companion size for all your daily adventures. I am a friendly, social 3-year-old girl who gets along great with other dogs and kids! Because I have a classic, playful Terrier spirit, I do like to chase cats, so a home without any feline roommates would be best for me. My previous family had to move and sadly couldn't bring me along, so I'm officially on the lookout for a brand new forever home. I’m already spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to find my people. Could that be you? I can't wait to meet you and start our adventure together!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
