Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard). *Name:Dorthea *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 39lbs *Adoption fee: $475 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Dorothea is a 3-year-old, 39-pound sweetheart who is finally getting her chance at a better life. Rescued from Georgia, Dorothea’s past is one no dog should ever endure. She was used for breeding and then discarded once she was no longer needed. Despite being failed by people early on, she has remained incredibly gentle and forgiving. Dorothea is sweet, kind, and soft-natured. She takes comfort in human connection and truly craves affection from her people. A calm presence and gentle attention go a long way with her—she responds with quiet trust and a hopeful spirit that is only beginning to blossom in her new environment. Now safe, Dorothea is learning what it means to simply be a companion dog: to relax, to be cared for, and to be valued for who she is, not what she was used for. She is ready for a home that will give her patience, love, and the stability she has always deserved. In return, Dorothea offers something simple and beautiful—devotion, gratitude, and a heart that is ready to heal. IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption.
