Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Topaz arrived to the shelter as a stray and we are so surprised that no one came looking for this sweet dude! Topaz is a young, wiggly and playful dog who is looking for a home that is able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy. He is still learning new things and will appreciate a patient owner who is able to continue training! He has done great with meeting new people, even if he is feeling a little shy, he is still very trusting! Topaz will also almost never turn down a treat. Topaz does appear to be mostly potty trained, but it can be difficult to tell in a shelter environment. He does know the cues `sit` and `shake`. He sits like a perfect gentleman! Topaz has gained confidence with walking on a leash and is doing so much better. He is so curious with everything around him and loves to discover new treats and toys! Topaz has been very friendly towards other dogs and may enjoy having a friend in his new home. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Topaz has been a lot of fun to get to know better. His goofy personality is bound to put a smile on your face! If you are looking for a fun dog who will absolutely be your best friend than Topaz may be the guy for you.
