Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Grady is the perfect mix of goofy, lovable, and unbelievably sweet. One look at him and you’ll notice his ear — it looks like part of it was actually cut off somewhere along the way . Although tragic, this gives him a little “Van Gogh” charm… a reminder that even imperfect things can be absolutely beautiful. Grady absolutely loves attention. He leans his whole body into pets, soaks up every bit of affection he can get, and flashes the happiest smile when people stop to talk to him. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and seems genuinely happy just being near people. Whatever his past looked like, Grady hasn’t let it steal his sweet spirit. He still trusts. He still loves. He still believes his people are out there somewhere. Now all he needs is a home where he can finally stop surviving and start being someone’s best friend.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
