Description
Dog Breed: Corgi / Mixed. Meet Lincoln. 12 weeks old and 7 pounds, this adorable little guy is already stealing hearts everywhere he goes. The very first photo we saw of him had his ears standing straight up, which is why the shelter guessed he might have some Corgi in the mix—but we're still investigating his breed background. One thing we do know: Lincoln is definitely going to stay on the smaller side. Lincoln came from a home with lots of other small dogs and is wonderfully social with his canine friends. He's playful, happy, curious, and always ready for an adventure, but he's equally content curling up for a cuddle or nap after playtime. His absolute cutest feature might be his adorable little overbite, which only adds to his charm. Now fully vetted and neutered, Lincoln is ready to find a loving family to call his own. If you're looking for a small puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Lincoln may be your perfect match.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
