Meet Stormi Stormi is a beautiful 1-year-old Shepherd weighing about 70 pounds, and if there's one thing she loves most in the world, it's cuddling and snuggling with her favorite female humans. Once she feels safe, she's the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side, soaking up all the love and giving it right back. Stormi is truly an amazing girl, but she needs a family that understands she'll need a little time to settle in. Give her a few days to decompress, let her adjust at her own pace, and you'll gain one of the most loyal, devoted best friends you could ever ask for. Stormi is terrified of men and would do best in a female-only home where she doesn't have to interact with them. We don't know what happened in her past, but we do know this: we promised Stormi that her future would be different. She deserves a forever home where she feels safe, comfortable, and free to simply be herself. In true Shepherd fashion, Stormi has a prey drive (shocking, we know! ), so she'll need a home without small animals and will require a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. Stormi isn't looking for a perfect family—she's looking for the right family. One that will give her patience, understanding, and the chance to blossom into the incredible companion we know she is. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
