Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi friends! My name is Mystic and I am about 5 months old! I am a sweet little pup that can't wait to find a home of my own! I am currently 15lbs and may be 20-25lbs full grown. I was surrendered with a few of my siblings and I am the only one left for adoption! I am quite shy at first. Unfortunately we were not socialized with strangers at a young age, so meeting new people can make me shake in my boots. BUT I really open up outside and if you are holding my leash, that makes us instant best friends. I am the type of puppy that wholeheartedly believes I belong in your skin so get ready for some massive cuddles. I will be shy of you, your home and new environments at first. I may hide like a cat when you take me home. So please have plenty of patience with me, and if you have kids, please make them understand my boundaries! I am likely not housetrained yet, so if you are ready to start over with a puppy, HELLO! I am ready to find my home!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at infoawlwarsaw if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
