Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Meet Molly, a gorgeous 3-month-old German Shepherd and Lab mix with striking green eyes, a golden coat, and a personality that is equal parts goofy, sweet, and adventurous. She is expected to grow into a large dog, so she is looking for an active family ready to help her become the amazing companion she is meant to be. Molly loves everything about the outdoors. Give her a yard, a hose, a patch of grass, or a good stick to carry around, and she is one happy puppy. She has classic Lab charm and can often be found splashing through the water while you are watering flowers, rolling around in the grass, or proudly showing off her latest stick collection. When it is time to relax, she enjoys snuggling with her people and squeezing herself under tables, chairs, or desks for a cozy nap. She absolutely adores kids and has been wonderful with the children in her foster home. Whether they are playing tag, rolling in the grass, carrying her around, or helping feed her, Molly is happy to be part of the fun. She also does well with cats, showing polite curiosity before happily going about her day. While Molly would be perfectly happy as the only dog, if she joins a home with another canine companion, that dog should be calm, confident, and patient enough to help her continue building her confidence while teaching her respectful dog manners. She can be a little cautious when meeting new dogs, people, or experiences, but her confidence grows quickly. After just one week in her foster home, she settled into a routine and has already shown how smart and eager she is to learn. Born on a reservation, Molly is still adjusting to life as an indoor family dog. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night, but she is still working on potty training as she learns the difference between living indoors and outdoors. With consistency, patience, and encouragement, she continues to make progress every day. Molly is a high energy puppy who will thrive with plenty of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to explore. A fenced yard would be a wonderful fit for her since she loves spending hours outside discovering the world at her own pace. Because Molly enjoys being close to her people and may whine a bit when separated, she is not a good fit for homes with shared walls. If you are looking for a smart, affectionate, playful puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Molly may be the perfect addition to your family. She is ready to find a forever home where she can continue building her confidence, making memories, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Breed overview
Overview:
The Sheprador, a popular crossbreed resulting from the union of a German Shepherd Dog and a Labrador Retriever, embodies many desirable traits from both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
