Description
Dog Breed: Bichon Frise / Maltese / Mixed (medium coat). Born: October 30, 2025 I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $650 Meet Tatoe! Tatoe is a fun-loving, affectionate puppy with plenty of energy and an even bigger heart. He loves playing fetch, entertaining himself with toys, and going for car rides—especially when he can stick his head out the window! He does well with children and gets along with other dogs. Tatoe is crate trained, knows how to give his paw, and is working on his house training. Like most puppies, he enjoys chewing, so having plenty of toys and enrichment helps keep him happy. If you're looking for a playful, loving companion who's ready for adventures and lots of fun, Tatoe is ready to meet his forever family! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. Breed overview
Overview:
The delightful Maltichon, a charming crossbreed of the Bichon Frise and Maltese, inherits the best traits from both beloved parent breeds. Originating as a designer dog, it quickly gained popularity for its adorable appearance and affectionate nature. Physically, Maltichons are typically small, weighing between 6-12 pounds, with a luxurious, non-shedding coat that is usually white or cream, often wavy or curly, requiring regular grooming to prevent matting. Their eyes are bright and expressive, and their overall demeanor is one of joyful curiosity. Temperamentally, they are known for being incredibly friendly, playful, and intelligent, making them highly trainable and eager to please. This gentle and loving nature makes them excellent companions for families with children and well-suited for apartment living due to their moderate exercise needs. While generally healthy, potential health considerations, common to small breeds, can include luxating patellas and dental issues, emphasizing the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
