Eisen came to United Doberman Rescue alongside his lifelong friend, Rue, after their devoted owner experienced serious health issues and could no longer care for them. This was a heartbreaking decision made out of love, and now Eisen is hoping for a fresh start with a family of his own. If you're searching for a dog who is ready for adventure, Eisen is your guy! He is incredibly athletic, large and in charge, strong, and full of energy. Think around 90+ pounds! He'll thrive in an active home where he can enjoy long walks, hikes, runs, or adventures with his people. Even better, Eisen would love a job! He is great with other dogs and even CATS!!! His intelligence and eagerness to learn make him an excellent candidate for obedience, scent work, agility, rally, or any activity that keeps both his mind and body engaged. Incomplete applications may be denied.(uniteddobermanrescue) We are 100% volunteer, please read adoption requirements BEFORE reaching out to us. Home Visit: A volunteer will schedule a home visit to assess the environment and discuss your expectations. All household members, including children, must be present.(uniteddobermanrescue) Veterinary Reference Check: Provide contact information for your current veterinarian. All existing pets must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventative.(uniteddobermanrescue) Meeting Dogs: Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs in their foster homes. If you have a resident dog, consult with the foster about bringing them along. Adoption Finalization: If a suitable match is found, you'll sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Due to COVID-19 precautions, same-day adoptions are currently permitted. Children: Adult dogs are not placed in homes with children under 6 years old.
