Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 275.00. Meet Bodey! At just 1 year old, Bodey is the total package! This handsome boy is full of love, has an easygoing personality, and is ready to find a family to call his own. Bodey loves everyone he meets and is always up for an adventure, but he's just as happy relaxing by your side after a fun day. He gets along well with other dogs, is crate trained, and is doing great with his basic commands. Smart, sweet, and eager to please, he's the kind of companion who fits right into your life. Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, a couch cuddle partner, or a loyal best friend, Bodey is happy just being with his people. Bodey is ready to trade foster life for a forever home filled with love. Could that be with you? All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
