Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300. Hi, I’m Auzzy! I’m a 4 month old little boy, listed as a cattle dog mix, with likely some shepherd mixed in too! I weigh about 30 lbs right now so I will grow up to be an adorable large guy! You should see my paws I have the perfect amount of energy, not too much, not too little! I am doing amazing with potty training, my foster mom is so impressed, so far I have only gone potty outside! I also am great with the crate, I sleep through the night in there like a champ and take naps in it during the day as well! Not to brag but my foster mom says so far I’m the best young puppy she’s fostered! I love playing with toys- especially chew toys since I still have all my baby teeth! Kiddie pool to play in in the backyard? Yes please! I have 2 foster dog siblings and enjoy to run around and play with them! Sometimes I am timid meeting new people and dog friends but I come out of my shell quickly! I am still learning that I am safe and loved in this world, and let me tell you I sure am easy to love! ❤️ Apply to meet me at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
