Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Mia has eyes to melt your heart. Mia loves to be up on a perch looking out. She can be shy but friendly and loves playing with her sister and being outside exploring. Once she knows you’re a trusting person she’s as sweet as can be. She is full of puppy energy but also loves to relax and chill after a play session. She loves snuggling up for a nap in her crate or in a comfy corner. She was at her foster house on the Fourth of July and showed no fear around fireworks. Mia has learned to sit for a treat and is working on jumping out of excitement. Mia puts herself to sleep in her crate and is happy to have her safe den. There have been no accidents in the crate or house at her foster. She knows to use the doggie door to go to the bathroom. Miaa is spayed, up to dates on vaccines, dewormed, and started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
