Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Sweet Remy! She has so much love to give. She is a brave and resilient little one. She was at her foster house on the Fourth of July and showed no fear around fireworks. She loves to explore and find nooks and crannies to discover. Remy is a playful, loving girl who would love to cuddle up her forever family. At her foster homeshe loves to get a chew toy and snuggle on her person’s lap. She is ready to learn her basic puppy skills and is motivated by love and affection. Remi learned how to use the doggie door in record time, on her own on the first day at her foster house! Remi loves to put herself to sleep in her crate for a nap and at the end of the night. There have been no accidents in the crate or house at her foster. She knew to use the doggie door to go to the bathroom. Remy weigeds 17 pounds on 7/8 and was born Match 11, 2026. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention and her adoption fee is $350. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
