Dog Breed: Husky / Mixed (medium coat). Independent, Adorable & Slightly Mischievous Meet Lauren—a delightfully quirky Husky who's equal parts independent spirit and playful goofball. When Lauren first arrived, she was a frightened girl who wasn't sure what to make of shelter life. Today? She bounds out of her kennel, ready to see what adventures await. She's made tremendous progress with her leash manners and absolutely loves stretching her legs with a good run around the yard. Lauren is curious about everything and has just enough mischievous Husky charm to keep life interesting. She'll investigate squeaky toys for a minute before deciding there's something else worth exploring. Think of her as a 50-pound cat—she prefers affection on her schedule. But when you least expect it, she might surprise you with a big kiss right on the mouth! She's a little bouncy heading out of her kennel, but once she's outside, she settles in nicely and keeps all four paws to herself. Lauren is looking for someone who appreciates an independent dog with a playful heart and is willing to let her friendship bloom naturally. Earn Lauren's trust, and you'll discover a one-of-a-kind companion who's equal parts sass, sweetness, and Husky charm. Lauren has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. She's also sharing her shelter suite with a friend she met at the shelter.
