Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Age: approx 5 years old Weight: 18 lbs My adoption fee is $ 499 which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Nancy has arrived in Rhode Island! She was pulled by our Texas rescue partner from a high kill shelter after having puppies, and we are so happy she is here in RI to find a fabulous home! This beauty is a Chihuahua mix who weighs 18 pounds. She is a bit low to the ground, so perhaps there is some Dachshund in her--we don't know. Nancy has a gorgeous apricot color coat and one partial blue eye. She is just stunning! Nancy is a terrific leash walker, rides very nicely in the car, and seems to have her housetraining in order, from what we can tell so far. She is getting along well with the other dogs in her foster home, and when introduced to the family cat, sniffed and walked away :) At age 5, Nancy has loads of pep in her step, but settles nicely indoors. She would enjoy a fenced yard to explore and sniff, and also some opportunities to do some excursions with her adopter in the car.
