Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet the Western Litter Betty Boop Hi! We’re the western litter and we’re looking for our forever families. We’re a mix of Mastiff, Great Pyrenees, and a little Golden Retriever, so we’re growing up to be big dogs with even bigger hearts. We’re sweet, playful puppies who love toys, wrestling with our siblings, and splashing around in water. A kiddie pool is one of our favorite things! We would do best in a home with another friendly dog to help us learn and build confidence as we grow. We also love people and do well with kids, making us wonderful family companions. We’re an accidental litter, and unfortunately, situations like ours happen every day. Spaying and neutering helps prevent unwanted litters and gives fewer puppies the chance of ending up without a home. We’re grateful that AZ Mastiff Rescue gave us the opportunity to find families of our own. If you think one of us might be the perfect addition to your family, we’d love to meet you! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
