Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Foxy, a charming 2-year-old female Pit Mix who is ready to find her forever home! Foxy is a beautiful and well-behaved girl with a calm and easy-going nature. She enjoys exploring her surroundings independently but also loves affection and treats, making her a delightful companion. Foxy walks well on a leash and responds reliably when called. While she would benefit from some basic training to polish her commands, she is already excellent with potty and kennel training. She plays nicely with toys and shows great social skills, having passed dog-to-dog tests with both male and female dogs with flying colors. Foxy is friendly and wags her tail happily when greeting other dogs through fences. Her personality shines through as she is calm, playful, curious, and easily redirected. She is especially good with women and seeks affection, making her a loving and loyal friend. Foxyâs independent streak means she can enjoy some quiet time on her own but also appreciates interaction and companionship. Ideal for an adopter looking for a sweet, treat-motivated, and gentle dog who is both affectionate and independent. Foxy would thrive in a home that can provide her with consistent training and plenty of love. If youâre looking for a gorgeous, calm, and loving dog to add joy to your life, Foxy is the perfect match! Come meet her and see how she can brighten your days. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
