Description
Dog Breed: Husky (medium coat). Samson is a roughly 2–3-year-old Husky who weighs around 60 pounds. He is truly the sweetest boy. He is incredibly gentle, unbothered by pretty much everything, and always ready for treats and attention. He does really well with other dogs. He does not seem to be super enthused by the idea of “play” but he is more than happy to co-exist and cuddle with another four-legged friend. He does very well with new introductions and sure seems like there isn’t a person around he doesn’t love. With stunning Icey blue eyes that scream “TAKE ME HOME”, and the goofiest facial expression around, it won’t be long till you are truly in love. Samson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. His adoption fee is $495. Please fill out an application at .ehrdogs and give this happy boy the wonderful home he deserves. He can't wait to be part of your family! Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
