Description

Dog Breed: Norfolk Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Brownie has slowly been coming out of her shell, and we’re starting to really see how spunky of a girl she is! She loves pets, a comfy bed, and going outside! She is a natural on the leash and loves going on walks! She’s a little suspicious of the leash indoors but once outside she sits on the door mat and patiently waits for her leash. While on walks she ignores other barking dogs, casually asks for pets from strangers, and easily moves on when needed—the only thing she lunges for are squirrels! She’s pretty reliable on potty pads, and we are working on transitioning her to going outdoors. She loves to be around her person at home and has turned into a little quiet shadow. Brownie is so sweet, and showing us little snippets of her personality every day. Occasionally, she still gets a little overwhelmed and hides in her safe space (under a bed), and we are working on making the crate her safe space to also help with potty training. This girl has been through a lot. She’d do well in a quiet and patient home with someone who is home a lot, and where she can build trust at her own pace. She is cat approved, and does well with other dogs in the home (although she has randomly shown some resource guarding). She probably would do well with older children who can respect her space when she asks for it.
