True to her Husky nature, Jenny is incredibly friendly, playful, and isn't shy about sharing her thoughts she's got plenty to say and will happily `chat` with you throughout the day! Whether she's out exploring, playing, or simply soaking up attention, Jenny is sure to bring lots of laughter and companionship to her future family. Jenny does have a history of seizures, and her new family will need to continue working with their veterinarian to monitor and manage her medical needs. Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
