His Story Griffin’s journey started in a rough place. Found abandoned in a garage in Charlotte, it took hours for shelter staff to safely rescue him. For a young, under-socialized pup, the loud shelter environment was terrifying. Thankfully, his foster family stepped in to "spring" him from the shelter and give him the safe space he so desperately needed. After just two days of quiet decompression, Finn decided he was ready for love—and he has been working hard to be the best boy ever since. The Good Stuff Despite a rocky start, Griffin is making incredible strides every single day. Here is what his foster family loves about him: A Devoted Companion: Finn bonds incredibly fast. House Manners & Training Successes Finn is proving to be a quick learner and is settling beautifully into home life: Crate Trained: Finn now officially loves his crate and views it as his safe space. He has been completely accident-free in his crate for several days! House Training: He has just about mastered house training! As long as you keep up a consistent schedule, he is golden. He also doesn't lift his leg or mark inside. Building Confidence: He is still a bit insecure. Loud noises and fast movements can startle him, and if he thinks he is in trouble, his instinct is to run and hide. He needs a calm, force-free environment where he can continue to learn that he is safe. Boundaries are Key: Because he bonds so quickly, Finn has the potential to become possessive of his chosen human. His adopter will need to understand how to set healthy boundaries to prevent resource-guarding behaviors.
