Description
Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Mochi! He and his brother Sammy came to us from Yakima at only 5 weeks old. Both boys are thriving, curious, and so playful! They sleep all night and are doing exceptionally well at going potty outside. Mo is slightly more sassy and Sam loves to cuddle, but both will be the best family pets. They have met cats and elementary aged children with great success, and they love to play with the resident dogs in their foster home. Their great passions are eating and wrestling, then passing out for a long nap. These pups will be ready to head off to their future homes at 8 weeks old. They are tiny - less than 2lb each, so will stay small as adults. Puppies this small need lots of structure and socialization to become happy and confident dogs. The pups have received their first round of vaccines, dewormer and microchips. They will be neutered as part of their adoption contract between 6-10 months of age - this is not optional. Their adoption fee is $525. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at .savinggreatanimals and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

Breed overview
Overview:
The delightful ShiChi, a charming crossbreed between the spirited Chihuahua and the affectionate Shih Tzu, originated from the desire to blend the best qualities of both parent breeds. These small companions typically inherit a varied appearance, often featuring a soft, medium-length coat that can be a range of colors, with their size generally falling between 6 to 12 pounds. Temperamentally, ShiChis are known for being playful, affectionate, and generally good-natured, making them suitable for many living situations. They adapt well to apartment living due to their compact size and moderate exercise needs, and with proper socialization, can be wonderful additions to families with older children. While generally robust, potential health considerations can include patellar luxation, eye conditions, and dental issues, inherited from their parent breeds, making regular veterinary check-ups essential for a long, happy life.
