Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Siberian Husky / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Lucky, the neutered male German Shepherd mix. Lucky came to the Shelter after his previous guardian was unable to continue caring for her. He has gotten a good start to his puppy life â socializing with strangers, cats, and dogs â and is ready to find his new family. Lucky is still learning potty training. His previous guardian was using potty pads to aid in potty training and help with the longer work hours. Typical to pups his age, Lucky can be a little mouthy during play but with toys available to redirect his mouthing â he is fine. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
