Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Auggie is a 9-month-old, 18-pound pup believed to be a Chihuahua/Heeler mix with the perfect blend of brains and affection. This handsome boy is incredibly smart, playful, and happiest when he's by your side. Whether he's joining you for a walk or curling up for cuddle time, Auggie just wants to be with his people. He's a quick learner—he mastered "shake" in just five minutes using clicker training! He's also food motivated, making training fun and rewarding. Auggie is continuing to work on his manners, including learning that hands aren't chew toys, and he's making great progress. Auggie enjoys daily walks and walks nicely on a leash. He's doing well with house training, earning treats for successful potty trips outside. He's also getting more comfortable with his crate each day. Auggie has done well with other dogs after a slow, proper introduction. While he hasn't been tested with cats, his foster believes he would likely do well with proper introductions and training. He also seems like he'd do well with respectful children, though he hasn't been formally tested in a home with kids.
