Dog Breed: Dachshund / Terrier / Mixed. REQUIRES A CONFIDENT, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME AND FENCED YARD. If you take the time, it will be a pleasure to meet this little man, Brogan. Brogan is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix and is a small size of 18 pounds. He came from an awful situation, and he is a shy boy because of it. Brogan is now on the path of finding a home that will deliver lots of patience and commitment to Brogan as he adjusts to a new life. Brogan will absolutely need a quiet home where he can find space and comfort in his own time frame to feel more confident. He is good with dogs and older, respectfully calm children. He will also need a confident and calm family dog in the house to be his personal influencer in finding and building confidence. His relationship with cats is unknown at this time. With the right tools for his use, Brogan is sure to flourish and show his family what a great, confident boy he was always meant to be. He is putting in the work of learning his house, crate and leash training skills. With consistence and positive reinforcement, Brogan will be a champ in a short amount of time. Due to his shyness with people and handling, Brogan requires a fenced yard since leash walking is currently very scary for him. It is said that time can heal all wounds, and Brogan believes in this as well. A rough start in life does not mean a rough finish. Brogan is thankful for his rescue and will be equally thankful for the family that makes him their next family member. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Brogan is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
