Dog Breed: Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Everything is coming up Daisy with this sweet girl around. Daisy2 is an 8-month-old female Terrier Mixed Breed Dog with a beautiful short brown and black coat and a heart as big as her smile. She is ready to bloom into the perfect companion for one lucky family. She currently weighs around 50 pounds and will grow more in the future. It is estimated that she will be a large dog of somewhere over 60 pounds when fully grown. Daisy2 has a lower energy level, unless playing with other dogs. She is happy to relax and enjoy plenty of cuddle time, earning her a well-deserved reputation as a 5-star snuggler. When it is time for fun, she loves playing with other dogs and absolutely loves to swim. She has done well with dogs and children. Daisy2 has not met a cat, so her relationship with cats is unknown at this time. She is the perfect combination of affectionate and playful. Daisy2 house, crate and leash training are in progress. Although many dogs become reliable with house training, accidents can still occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Daisy2 would thrive in a home that will continue her training with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. A family that enjoys spending time outdoors, especially near the water, while also appreciating plenty of snuggles on the couch would be an ideal match for this sweet girl. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
