Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie. This sweet little darling is Eva, but don't let that look of innocence fool you. While she is as cute and sweet as can be, she is a real live wire! She will steal your shoes, your clothes, the bathroom rug while you are in the shower, and she will steal your heart. The good thing is that she doesn't chew the items that she steals. She will engage you in a game of chase to get your belongings back, or "catch me if you can" and she will have you trained before you realize that it happened. She is just that cute and smart! She is so loveable and enjoys her time in your lap or laying on the back of the couch, keeping a close watch on what you are doing. She loves being outside and playing with the other dogs and cat in her foster home. A very active girl, she will need a playmate in the home, similar in age, size and energy level. She is NOT fully housetrained so her adopter will need to understand that she has a way to go and be willing to continue the progress that she has made. She will need a consistent schedule of frequent potty breaks outside. Eva is a complete love and a big personality in a tiny package of under 8 pounds. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
