Description
Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier (Parson Russell Terrier) / Mixed (medium coat). Looking for a little dog with a big personality? Congratulationsâyou've found him. At first, he might pretend he's not interested. New people? Suspicious. New places? Questionable. He likes to take his time deciding whether you're worthy of joining his inner circle. But once you make the cut? Oh, you're his person. Expect a devoted sidekick who wants to know what you're doing, where you're going, and whether he can come too. Now... there is one thing you should know. When his favorite human leaves, he is known to perform the Song of His People. Some call it singing. Some call it dramatic storytelling. He calls it expressing his feelings. Apartment living may not be his dream career unless your neighbors appreciate passionate solo performances. He's the kind of little dog people stop to ask aboutâthe one who turns heads with his charm and leaves volunteers saying, `Someone is going to be so lucky.` He isn't looking for a perfect family. He's looking for his familyâsomeone patient enough to let his confidence bloom, understanding enough to appreciate his quirks, and loving enough to embrace a tiny best friend with a very big heart (and an even bigger voice). If you're looking for a pocket-sized companion who's equal parts loyal, hilarious, and full of personality, this little guy is ready to audition for the role of your new best friend.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
