Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed. Meet Ana! Ana is a sweet, affectionate girl who has really started to come out of her shell in foster care. While she can be shy and a little unsure around new people or in unfamiliar situations, once she feels safe and comfortable, her loving personality shines through. She becomes a cuddly companion who loves curling up in your lap, snuggling in bed, and following her people around the house. Ana is a medium-energy girl who enjoys having opportunities to play and burn off some energy. She especially loves running and playing outside with other dogs—both big and small! She can also be a bit of a barker, something her foster family has been working on, so her future family should be prepared to continue helping her with positive training and guidance. She is friendly with other dogs and has briefly met a cat. She was curious but did not chase. Ana can be a little territorial over her humans, so continued guidance and appropriate introductions will help her be successful. Ana is still working on a few things, including potty routines and crate training. She is mostly house-trained but benefits from regular potty breaks and reminders. She can also experience some anxiety when picked up or when faced with new situations, so she will do best with a patient, understanding family willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs. Ana loves chewing on bones, snuggling up with her people, and being close to the ones she loves. Her expressive ears make it easy to tell exactly how she’s feeling, and watching her personality continue to blossom has been incredibly rewarding. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion who may need a little time to warm up but will reward your patience with plenty of love and cuddles, Ana could be your perfect match! Helpful Notes from Ana's Foster: Ana is shy with new people, but once she warms up, she is incredibly cuddly and loves laying on your lap. She is a very sweet dog but can get anxious when being picked up or in new situations. She loves running around outside with both big and small dogs, but she can get territorial over her humans. Ana met a cat briefly and was curious but did not chase. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED?
