Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi I’m Honey! I’m a 10 week old Shepherd mix, but my foster mom says I look like a little bear, & other times she says I look like an Aussie or a German Shepherd. I do know that I am 100% Adorable! Anyway, I’m in my training Era! I’m learning so many new things every day. I’m doing really well at potty training, & crate training has been hard but I’m trying ok! I’m also learning how to walk on a leash like a big girl, & am very well behaved for spa days with baths & nail trims. I consider myself an outdoorsy girlie, I love romping around in the yard, rolling in the grass, & watching the scenery around me. I also really like water, I just can’t help but splash around in my new kiddie pool. I get along well with other dogs, cats & kids but will admit I get excited when they run around & may want to play a little more than they do because I just want to have fun! If you think you’d like to add some fuzzy love to your life then I’m the right pup (or bear) for you! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
