Meatball is learning to navigate the world and would thrive with a patient adopter ready to help her grow and gain confidence. Physically, Meatball is a strong and active dog who enjoys walks on a leash and shows good leash manners. While she is still working on basic commands and coming when called, she is eager to learn with the right guidance and training. Personality-wise, Meatball is a bit shy and was initially scared and avoidant during her evaluations. She may need some time and gentle encouragement to feel comfortable and build trust. She showed some growling when being returned to her kennel but quickly calmed down once leashed, indicating she is not reactive but may need a calm and understanding environment. Meatball’s ideal home would be one where she can receive consistent training and socialization to help her blossom into a confident companion. She would benefit from an adopter experienced with dogs who need a little extra time to adjust and who can provide a loving, patient atmosphere.
