Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Noonoo – your future favorite cuddle buddy. At 4 years old, Noonoo has perfected the art of being sweet, gentle, and just the right amount of delightfully squishy. She's carrying a few extra pounds (and, yes... a few puppies too!), so she's embracing her "glow" and taking life one cozy nap at a time. Noonoo has a calm, loving personality that makes everyone feel at ease. She's the kind of dog who's happiest by your side, soaking up affection and reminding you that the best things in life are slow mornings, soft blankets, and kind hearts. Noonoo is currently pregnant and is also heartworm positive, so she'll need a little extra care as she starts her next chapter. The good news is that heartworm disease is treatable, and with the right support, she'll be on her way to feeling her best. If you've got room in your heart for a gentle mama who deserves all the love she's spent her life giving, Noonoo is ready to meet you. She's proof that sometimes the sweetest souls come with a little extra fluff—and that's just more to love.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
