Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! ** Honey and her adorable hive are ready to find their forever homes! They can go home after 8/13! ** Updated: 7/23/26 Dog Name: Honey Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mix Date of Birth: 5/8/23 Approximate Weight: 10 lbs Litter Name: Honey Bee Litter Mama Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet Adoption Fee: $650 Description: Honey is a beautiful 3 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 pounds, and she is every bit as sweet as her name suggests! This sweet little girl is also a proud mama who recently raised six beautiful babies. Now that her puppies are growing up and finding homes of their own, Honey is ready for her next chapter and she deserves a family all her own. Honey is a gentle, loving little girl who would love nothing more than to be your constant companion. She enjoys snuggling up next to you on the couch and will happily follow her person around like a little shadow. Once she trusts you, Honey has the sweetest personality and loves being close to her people. Honey does well with children, although quick or unexpected movements can startle her a bit. She also does well with other dogs who are respectful of her space and understand that she may need a little time to feel comfortable. One of Honey’s most adorable features is her incredibly silky soft coat! Her beautiful hair does require frequent brushing to keep it soft, healthy, and tangle free, but we think you’ll agree that she’s worth the extra grooming time. Honey is looking for a loving home where she can continue to build confidence, be showered with affection, and spend plenty of time snuggled up beside her favorite person. If you’re looking for a sweet little shadow with a heart of gold, Honey may be the perfect girl for you! We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

More About Chiranian BreedOverview:
The Chiranian, also affectionately known as a "Pomchi," is a charming hybrid breed resulting from the cross between a Chihuahua and a Pomeranian. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the desirable traits of both parents, this small companion dog typically inherits a compact size, usually weighing between 4-10 pounds. Their physical appearance can vary, often featuring the long, soft coat of a Pomeranian in various colors, coupled with the alert, expressive eyes of a Chihuahua. Temperamentally, Chiranians are generally affectionate, lively, and intelligent, though they can exhibit a "big dog" personality in a small package, sometimes prone to being vocal. They are highly adaptable, making them an excellent choice for apartment living and can be suitable for families with older, respectful children. Health-wise, like many small breeds, they can be prone to dental issues, luxating patellas, and tracheal collapse, making regular veterinary check-ups essential for a long, happy life.
