Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Freedom Ride for #MADLoveMrTheo! Welcome to the MAD Pack, handsome! About 2–3 years ago, Theo was found as a stray on the streets of California. Thankfully, he was adopted into a wonderful home where he was loved. Sadly, after his owner passed away, Theo found himself right back at the very same shelter where his rescue story had first begun. As you can imagine, returning to the shelter after losing his person was incredibly difficult. Theo struggled with the transition and waited patiently, hoping someone would choose him once again. Thankfully, MAD learned about this handsome young man, and before Theo knew it, he was taking his freedom ride to a new beginning. Today, Mr. T is settling into the comfort of a wonderful foster home, where he's decompressing, remembering what it's like to live in a home, and brushing up on the important skills every good dog needs. Most importantly, he's learning that he's safe, loved, and that brighter days are ahead. We're so grateful to his amazing foster for giving him the soft landing he needed after everything he's been through. Stay tuned as we get to know this handsome boy better! We can't wait to share his personality, his progress, and all the wonderful things we'll learn about him. Before long, Mr. T will be ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for—the one who will love him just as much as he deserves. Welcome to the MAD Pack, sweet boy. Your next chapter starts now, and we can't wait to watch you shine. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
