Honestly, I have no idea how this total gem is still waiting for her forever home! She is one of my absolute favorites now! Luna is pure sweetness through and through. Walking her is an absolute dream- she has impeccable leash manners, doesn't pull a bit, and rocks a precious, cheerful little trot with flopping ears that will instantly brighten your day. She already knows `sit` and `come,`* making her as smart as she is polite. She has a quiet curiousity about the world that makes her so endearing. Luna isn't really interested in toys; her favorite thing in the world is simply *being with you*. She loved exploring all the good sniffs on her walk and soaking in quality companionship. When passing other dogs, she was so friendly, easygoing and calm- totally nonchalant. Luna is a sweet, balanced, low-drama sweetheart who is ready to be someoneâs loyal best friend. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
