NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 7/27/2026: Swilly - male - 4 years old - 14.2 pounds - Cairn Terrier mix Reason for intake: Swilly came to us with Pershing and Lisbon. Their 89-year-old owner couldn't care for them any longer. It was really a sad situation. She once was able to take great care of her pets, but age and finances have kept her from doing that for several years. They had lots of fleas and missing hair as a result from scratching. Poor Swilly got sick on the ride back from Arkansas which is why he appears wet. They are all spayed/neutered but do need vaccinations, heartworm tested, fecals, etc. They were clearly very loved. We will be posting them for adoption soon. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.
