Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Est DOB: 02/26/26 Current weight: 18lbs Harper is a sweet pup who loves people. She is in a foster home with other dogs and does well with all of them . She loves to please and is very smart, treat motivated and crate trained and potty trained (please expect an adjustment period) She scared of thunderstorms so needs to find her thunder buddy!! Her learnt some c ommands (sit/stay/come/outside/potty/no) Will sing an out of tune duet or carry on a conversation with you in her own language. Will sit with you to watch tv. She especially likes “Press My Luck”, “Wheel of Fortune “, and “The Price is Right”. If she gets bord, she will fall asleep Plays fetch Loves to play with other fur babies her size. Loves to explore the yard looking for baby dinosaurs (lizards). Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet. This can be found on our website at almosthomepetrescue/apply-now-1 $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed, age, and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state to available locations, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
