Dog Breed: Terrier. Meet Meadow, a gorgeous 2‑year‑old mixed‑breed girl — and when we say mixed, we mean mixed. Meadow first came to us in January 2025 and was adopted, but she was returned when her energy level and desire for attention became a bit too much for her family. She’s a high‑energy dog who loves to play, loves to engage, and loves being part of the action. Meadow shows her excitement with barking and some jumping, but she’s already working hard on her manners. She responds well to being told “no” and settles quickly when ignored for a moment. During her photo session, we sat on the ground with her and she was wonderfully respectful — no jumping, just a few enthusiastic face kisses. She has lived with dogs and kids over 10, and she can go home with younger children as long as they’re comfortable with a high‑energy dog who may bounce around during playtime. Meadow can also live with cats; she was slightly fearful of the cats in our free‑roam room when she saw them through the glass, so a calm or confident cat would be just fine for her. This girl is incredibly toy‑motivated and absolutely adores fetch. She’ll chase the toy, bring it right back, and even place it in your hand so you’re ready for the next round. Meadow is still working on her potty training, but she’s doing well in the shelter environment so far and continues to improve. Meadow is fun, affectionate, eager to learn, and ready for a family who appreciates her energy and her big, joyful personality. She’ll thrive with someone who enjoys playtime, structure, and a dog who gives her whole heart. This pet is Free for Adoption during the month of August as part of Clear the Shelters Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
