We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Ava was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New noises, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of her shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. Ava is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! Ava is friendly and dances in her kennel with eagerness and enthusiasm as she awaits her first chance to get out and be a Real Dog. She is ready to meet her extra patient and loving humans who can introduce her to new places and people at her pace. She’s heard all about cushy dog beds, sniffy meandering walks with her family, and curling up next to her favorite people to take a nap and she can’t wait to experience it all.
